On Friday night about 20 boys and a couple of dads headed out of Bronxville to go to Seaside Heights, New Jersey. When we got there we set up our camp next to some other troops on the beach, very close to the water. We went to bed fairly early because we had to wake up early Saturday morning to get breakfast. All of our breakfasts and dinners were free.

After we had breakfast we went to the boardwalk to start our merit badges. There were 3 merit badges being offered to take, fire safety, traffic safety, and crime prevention. Because our troop had already taken fire safety we all took crime prevention and traffic safety. When we were finished with our merit badges we were free to do whatever we wanted. We got to go on all of the rides for free as many times as we wanted to, which was great. Some scouts made a giant sand fort during the day and at night had a sand war with another troop, which did not end well. On Saturday night we all got to watch two movies on the beach. The two movies that were playing were Cars 2 and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. There were also thousands of games you could play on the boardwalk all day. After the movie we all went back to the campsite and went to bed. It had been a long day of fun.

On Sunday we woke up and had breakfast. After we had breakfast we got all of the sand out of the tents and carefully folded them and packed them up. When we finished packing up the campsite we headed back to Bronxville.

I think this was one of the most fun trips we have and I think most people who came to the trip thought so too.
