On December 1st about 10 scouts and 5 adults embarked upon the orienteering trip in. The meet was sponsored by the Hudson valley orienteering group up at Hudson Highland’s Nature Museum.  The scouts battled cold gust of winds and sub-freezing temperatures. There were four courses one could go on, the white one, which was the simplest, the yellow one which was second, the orange one which was moderately difficult and the brown which was the hardest. When everyone returned from their excursions we had a bag lunch and hot chocolate courtesy of Hudson Highland’s Nature Museum. Overall everyone did very well and no one got seriously injured or lost, although one scout got stuck in the mud for a small period of time. Generally people had fun despite the blistering cold and we all look forward to it next year.
